J2 680 TILL QUICK FIX INSTRUCTIONS
What do I do if my till is not working as normal?
First step is always to Restart your till using the following procedure.
- Tilt the screen up to reveal the connections panel (shown below)
- Press gently and hold the black power button (red arrow) in for a few seconds.
The till will power off.
- Once the screen goes blank press the button once to switch the till back on
The till we will restart procedure usually takes up to 5 minutes.
NEVER SWITCH OFF YOUR TILL OFF AT THE MAINS SOCKET !!!
This can cause major issues when you try to power the till back on
What issues does this normally clear?
LOCKED/FROZEN SCREEN
Impact: Till not available
THUMBPRINT READER NOT WORKING
Impact: Till not available
CREDIT CARD MACHINE ERRORS
Impact: Cash Only
STICKING WHEN MOVING BETWEEN SCREENS
Impact: Slow Performance/increase chance of transacting wrong item. Slower service
TERMINAL NETWORK ERROR ON THE REPORTS SCREEN
Impact: End of Session Not Available
